The 2021 vintage release of the Best Lot Malbec is selected entirely from a single vineyard at Parawa in the Southern Fleurieu Peninsula of South Australia.
Located just a few kilometres from the coastline between Normanville and Second Valley, this exceptional vineyard lies in a natural amphitheatre surrounded by pine forests and the Ingalalla Falls.
The grapes here are intense in flavour and muscular in structure.
The nose is a complex melange of blueberries, malted milkshake with a perfumed, fountain pen ink, crushed violet lift.
The palate is sweet-fruit driven with concentrated boysenberry and blueberry characters, assertive mocha oak and long fine tannins knitting this wine together.
The 2021 Best Lot Malbec is in my view the classiest wine to date!
